A dog has gone missing after a house fire in Royal Wootton Bassett.
Firefighters were called to a property near Coped Hall Roundabout last night (Monday, 10 February) following a blaze caused by an electrical wiring fault.
As the incident was dealt with, one of the occupant’s pets – a dog named Ocho – escaped.
“In all the commotion of people coming in and out to help someone left the gate open and he’s vanished”, Rosie Reid said.
She continued: “This is incredibly out of character for him, he simply doesn’t go off.
“He was gone in under 10 seconds, I literally let them out for a wee as they were shut away while dealing with the fire and he’s gone.
“Police have been informed due to the proximity of the motorway, microchip company informed and he has a tag on his collar.”
Despite searches with a thermal camera across a large radius overnight, he has not be found.
If you sight Ocho, please call Rosie immiedately on 07731 316007.
