A sexual predator from Trowbridge targeted two girls, aged 12 and 13, on Snapchat.
31-year-old Aaron Willis pleaded guilty to two offences of engaging in sexual communication with a child, and was sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on 30 January.
The father, of Towpath Road, sent a string of messages to two girls – aged 12 and 13 – on the social media platform Snapchat.
The children told their parents about the conversations and they took photographs of the phone which carried the offending material – including a video call which showed Willis’ face.
In the chats, in which he used the username Wonka, he asked one girl for photos of her bum and asked her not to tell anyone.
“Show me then lol xxxx”, he said. Adding: “And don’t say anything to anyone xxx”.
He also messaged: “Get the body out” and told one girl: “You got a fat one I know that xx”, believed to be referring to her bum.
Throughout the conversations, Willis sent photos of his face and body – including one topless, showing tensed biceps, his stomach and his boxer shorts.
He was sentenced to a 16-month prison sentence, suspended for two years and was told to register as a sex offender for ten years.
The defendant was also slapped with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which amongst other things, prohibits content with children except in specific circumstances.
As part of the order, he must also register his digital devices and social media accounts with the police, allow monitoring software to be installed and cooperate with device inspections.
Further to his suspended sentence, he must complete a 43-day sex offender programme, undertake 10 days of rehabilitation activity and complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
