Police have launched an investigation after a man was found seriously injured in a van.
Emergency services were called to reports of a casualty in Lancaster Square, Lyneham, at around 5.40pm on Sunday evening (23 February).
A man, aged in his 30s, was found inside a van – and had a serious head injury.
He was treated by ambulance crews and rushed to hospital, where he remains.
“A cordon was set up to allow for enquiries to take place and has since been lifted”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “We are keeping an open mind as to the cause of the man’s injuries.
“Anyone who witnessed anything or has any information is asked to contact us on 101 quoting log 230 of yesterday’s date.”
Locals claim to have seen around five police cars and two ambulances on scene, later followed by crime scene investigation vans.
Detectives are also understood to have seized the van for further forensic examination.
