‘Two casualties have been airlifted’ following a crash on the A303 in Wiltshire.
Three air ambulances landed at the scene just east of Amesbury following a serious road traffic collision at around 5.30pm today (Friday).
At least two vehicles are understood to have been involved, with people several injured.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance attended the incident.
Two casualties were reportedly airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at Southampton General Hospital for urgent care.
A full-scale forensic collision investigation is underway – with the road expected to remain closed until around midday on Saturday (29 March).
