A woman has died after an air ambulance was called to an emergency in Swindon.
999 crews raced to a serious medical incident at an address in Kingshill Road shortly before 10am this morning (Friday).
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance touched down opposite The Runner pub in Wootton Bassett Road minutes later.
Critical care medics, alongside local ambulance crews, provided urgent treatment.
Despite their best efforts, a woman aged in her 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed that her death is not being treated as suspicious.
“Our thoughts are with her family”, they added.
At the height of the incident, two double-crewed ambulances, Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance and a roads policing officer were in attendance.
