Firefighters have extinguished flames at a private school in a Wiltshire town.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fire breaking out at Warminster School shortly before 5pm this afternoon (Monday).
Police closed Church Street in both directions as fire crews raced to deal with the blaze.
A fire commander at the scene told Wiltshire 999s that the flames started in a window frame – before starting to ingress into the boarding school’s living quarters.

“Three crews are currently in attendance; one from Westbury and two from Trowbridge.
“Two breathing apparatus wearers used one hose reel jet to extinguish.
“The road is currently closed and crews remain on scene to dampen down.”
