A Chippenham junction is partially blocked after a early morning car crash.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision in Marshfield Road shortly before 6am this morning (Tuesday).
Two vehicles – a blue Fiat Punto and a grey BMW 2 Series – were involved in the incident on the roundabout with Audley Road and Park Lane.
“The force of the collision and the noise woke me from my deep sleep”, one local resident told Wiltshire 999s.
Adding: “Traffic at standstill, looks like one car mounted pavement and possibly hit house.”
It’s not yet clear whether the Fiat struck the house, or just came to rest next to it.
The road was blocked by 999 crews, but has since reopened as police await recovery.
Nobody is thought to have been seriously injured in the crash.
