Detectives in Swindon are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman suffered head injuries during an incident within an address in the Penhill area.

Police were called to Heddington Drive at around 7.30pm following an altercation involving a group of people resulting in a local woman, in her 40s, received an injury to her cheek.

THE HEDDINGTON CLOSE SCENE

A number of men, some of whom were on bikes, fled in the direction of Milston Avenue.

The woman casualty was taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment.

Det Sgt Scott Anger said: “This took place in the early evening when it was still light and with this weather many people will have had their windows open. There are likely to have been people in the area who saw or heard this assault or the group running/cycling in the area soon afterwards.

“If you can help us with our enquiries in anyway please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Swindon CID on 101, quoting 54180068677 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
