A ‘drunk’ woman has been arrested after crashing into a lorry on the M4 in Swindon.
It’s claimed the suspect failed to stop following the incident at around 10.15am this morning (Tuesday).
A short time later officers stopped the vehicle involved – a Peugeot 206 – in Hay Lane, off Junction 16.
The driver, a woman aged in her 40s, was asked to take a roadside breath test – which proved positive, with a reading of 123 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
She was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and driving without insurance.
