A man has been seriously injured after ‘falling’ from a Swindon hotel window.
Emergency services were called to the Premier Inn in Temple Street, in the town centre, at around 8.45am this morning (Friday).
It’s understood a man deliberately smashed a second-floor window before falling to the ground.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance were tasked, with the helicopter landing in Spring Gardens.
The charity’s critical care medics, alongside local ambulance crews and police, provided urgent care to the seriously injured man at the scene.
He was rushed to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol by land ambulance, where he will receive further treatment.
A taxi driver, in a grey Mercedes, could be seen cleaning blood from the window of his vehicle.
Wiltshire Police said officers responded to “reported concerns for the welfare of a man”.
Adding: “The man sustained serious injuries after falling from a window and he has been transported to hospital for treatment.”
The force said there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
Temple Street was cordoned off as 999 crews attended, but has since reopened.
