A man who ‘pleased himself’ over avocados in a supermarket is ‘too ill to prosecute’, according to Wiltshire Police.
The force issued a public appeal on social media following the disturbing incident in Waitrose, Malmesbury, on on 12 February this year.
An investigation was launched into what was described by police as “indecent exposure”, with a photo of the suspect being released.
At the time, a spokesperson for Waitrose told Wiltshire 999s that they dealt with it “quickly and sensitively”, apologising for distress caused to customers.
Now Wiltshire Police has confirmed that the suspect is “too ill to prosecute” – with no further action being taken.
It’s understood the man was attending the store with a carer when the incident occurred, and has learning disabilities.
