Police have launched a probe after a man was seriously injured in a crash on the A36.
Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the major route near Warminster at around 9am this morning (Friday).
The incident involved a red Renault Trafic van and a white Renault Clio – which impacted head-on south of Black Dog Hill.
The driver of the Clio, a man, sustained serious injuries and has been rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for urgent care.
Wiltshire Police have since launched a full-scale forensic collision investigation, with work ongoing at the scene at 4.30pm.
The road is expected to remain closed between A350 at Warminster and the B3414 at Norton Bavant.

In a post on X, National Highways wrote: “The A36 in #Wiltshire remains closed in both directions between the A350 (south) Warminster and the B3414 Norton Bavant due to collision which has resulted in a spillage.
