A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a van on the A342 near Devizes.
Emergency services were called at approximately 10.10am today (Saturday) to Monument Hill following a report of a crash involving a biker and a Citroen van.
The motorcyclist – a man in his 60s from Melksham – died at the scene.
“His next of kin has been informed and our thoughts are with his family at this time”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “The driver of the van involved was uninjured.
“A road closure was put in place on the A342 between Upavon and Monument whilst the incident was dealt with and investigations were carried out.
“Any witnesses to the collision should call 101 and quote log number 114 of July 27.
