Two people have been arrested after an incident at Swindon Magistrates’ Court.
Police raced to the official building in Gordon Road following reports of “disturbance” involving a number of people this morning (Friday).
A man was arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace.
A second person, associated with the same group, was arrested at Gablecross Police Station on suspicion of using abusive language directed at a member of police staff.
Both suspects are currently in police custody, a force spokesperson said.
Swindon Hub Commander Supt Lucy Thorne: “We will not tolerate any abusive language or behaviour directed at our staff – who are here to serve the public.
“It is unacceptable We will not hesitate to deal with anyone engaging in such activity swiftly and robustly.”
