Woman found injured below A419 overpass after police called to ‘welfare concern’

A woman has been taken to hopsital after she was found below the A419 overpass.

Wiltshire Police says it was initially called to concerns for the welfare of a woman on the A419 shorlty before 1pm today (5 October).

When officers arrived, the woman was found on the Commonhead Roundabout – between the A419 overpass.

A police spokesperson told Wiltshire 999s: “Shortly before 1pm today (05/10) we received a call regarding concern for the welfare of a woman on the A419, close to the Commonhead roundabout.

“Officers located an injured woman in the road and she has been taken to hospital.

“The road was closed for a short time to allow emergency services to work at the scene but is now clear.”
