A Melksham man has been banned from speaking to his girlfriend after a ‘domestic’.
A Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) was put on 27-year-old Samuel Hughes (28/05/1997) at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 7 April.
It followed an incident of alleged domestic abuse, which the police are currently investigating.
For the protection of the his girlfriend, the defendant, of Melksham, is prohibited from having any contact with her for 28 days.
Hughes must not molest the alleged victim, including through social media or by using or threatening violence.
He is also banned from entering a named street in Melksham, and must live elsewhere for the duration.
Breaching the DVPO, which is a civil court order, will result in a criminal conviction.
