Two police vehicles became stuck in a muddy field during a car chase in Swindon tonight.

Up to a dozen police vehicles were seen pursuing a silver Vauxhall Astra at high speed through parts of Greenbridge, Walcot and Park North at around 8pm today, Tuesday 6 February.

The car came safely to a stop off Banwell Avenue, where officers arrested at least one man.

During the lengthy pursuit, two police vehicles became stuck on Buckhurst Field – one a local police response car and one a Tri-force BMW X5 Armed Response Vehicle.
